Community Group/Hospital birth care: $2500
Includes Community Group Care with a planned hospital transfer in labor. Includes at least 2 postpartum appointments. See Community Care page for more details.
Great option for first time parents who desire community midwifery but the security of a hospital birth. Does not include attendance at birth.
OB prenatal/planned home birth: $4000
Includes prenatal care with an OB, transferring to a planned home birth at 34-35 weeks. Requires at least 2 prenatal appointments with home birth team prior to birth, records transfer, previous vaginal/low risk birth and includes at least 2 postpartum appointments. *Does not include home birth kit (less than $100).
Great option for those who have had a previous low risk vaginal birth.
Medicaid Services:
If you have VA Medicaid, Cardinal Care will cover professional fees. However, there are many services associated with community midwifery that are not covered. The following non-covered services fee applies to clients with Fee-For-Service Medicaid. Contact to discuss details, I know it’s confusing!
One-On-One Midwifery Care: $3000
